It's complete title is Iqd al-Jawhar fī Mawlid al-Nabiy al-Azhar (عقد الْجَوهر في مَولِد الْنَبِي الْأزهَر The Jewelled Necklace of the Resplendent Prophet's Birth) and it was written in the Arabic vernacular.
